About Tridactyls Online
Who We Are
Tridactyls.online is a cross-disciplinary archive dedicated to documenting recurring tridactyl motifs across archaeology, biology, and mythology. We are researchers, writers, and pattern-hunters who believe that evidence should be collected, organized, and shared openly—without sensationalism or dismissal.
Our Mission
To build a living archive where artifacts, scans, myths, and records can be compared side by side. By tracking these patterns across regions and centuries, we provide a foundation for serious study and informed debate.
Our Approach
-
Evidence-first. Every entry cites its source and, when possible, includes measurements, provenance notes, and scans.
-
Cross-disciplinary. Archaeology, biology, mythology, and theory are treated together, allowing parallels and contradictions to emerge.
-
Transparent. We highlight uncertainties, disputed claims, and gaps in the record rather than hiding them.
-
Living archive. The site grows as new data, translations, and submissions are added.
Why It Matters
From Nazca to Lake Titicaca, Mongolia to Utah, tridactyl motifs appear in stone, myth, and even preserved specimens. Whether these repetitions reflect cultural imagination, shared archetypes, or something more, they are too consistent to ignore. Tridactyls.online exists to catalog these patterns, making the evidence accessible for anyone to study.
